As “Mother” stabs Flynn after he climbs the tower to rescue Rapunzel, the knife comes out clean, no blood. However, blood on the knife would likely be reason to increase the MPAA rating to a PG-13, so to keep the rating at a PG, the blood was omitted.
Isn’t there blood on the knife Gaston uses on Beast? But then again that film came out in 1991 so standards change.
